The CO Research Trust Conference 2026 will centre around three core pillars: Education, Awareness, and Research. We invite researchers, policymakers, industry leaders, manufacturers, charities and healthcare professionals to come together to share knowledge, elevate understanding, and drive forward meaningful change in the prevention of carbon monoxide exposure.
Together, we’ll build on the progress made so far, strengthen connections across sectors, and continue working toward a future where CO harm is better understood, prevented, and ultimately reduced.

👥 Who Should Attend
Academics, researchers, policymakers, medics, industry experts, charities, trade bodies, manufacturers, and anyone interested in learning more about CO exposure.
🏛️ Conference Pillars
This year’s programme focuses on three key pillars:
Education
Advancing knowledge and understanding of carbon monoxide exposure across sectors, from clinical settings to public guidance.
Awareness
Improving recognition of CO risks, particularly among vulnerable groups, strengthening communication strategies to reach those most at risk, and supporting the launch of Carbon Monoxide Awareness Week.
Research
Showcasing the latest findings from across the sector, including work from the Sheffield Hallam University CO Research Centre, identifying gaps in evidence, and encouraging collaboration to drive future research priorities.
🤝 Why Attend?

- Discover the latest research and emerging evidence
- Hear from leading experts and thought leaders across multiple disciplines
- Engage with updates from the newly relaunched APPCOG
- Strengthen collaboration between research, policy, and practice
- Contribute to raising awareness and improving education around CO risk
- Build connections during a dedicated networking reception
