Following our rebranding in 2021 and new strategic direction, the CO Research Trust (CORT) is embarking on an ambitious programme of lectures, workshops and stakeholder engagement activities over the next 15 months, both in-person and on-line.

We are looking to recruit a talented Events Coordinator to work within our team. As our Events Coordinator you will report into the Head of Charity and coordinate events for CORT whilst also contributing to the charity’s wider communications and marketing activities.


THE ROLE


Job Title:
Events Coordinator

Salary: £150-£175 a day depending on experience

Location: Home-based (with attendance at events and meetings required)

Role: Fixed term to March 2023 with potential for continuation - start date 1st March 2022.

(Part time – days and times by agreement - Mon/Tues/Thurs preferred but flexible) between 6-8 days per month variable depending on events schedule.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To manage and deliver the CORT events programme for 2022-23
  • Research, plan and cost out options for events based on different budget levels – present these options to the CORT communications and marketing committee with recommendations
  • Sourcing venues within a budget – ongoing liaison with the venue pre and post event
  • Managing the structure of the event with guidance from the CORT team
  • Manage the event budget
  • Manage the attendee list, including sending out invitations and monitoring responses
  • Sourcing a venue for an evening meal
  • Sourcing accommodation within a budget
  • On the day handling of any issues relating to the venue or the structure of the event
  • Sourcing speakers and liaising with them pre and post event
  • Sourcing an event host/mediator
  • Sourcing and liaise with a videographer
  • Liaise with our graphic designer to manage production of any event literature, signage design etc


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • A background in events administration and office experience within a busy and fast paced office is essential
  • A minimum 3 years previous experience in an events management role
  • A flexible and adaptable attitude, able to work independently as well as part of a small team, working remotely
  • Proven multi-tasking experience, and the ability to work under pressure
  • High standard of written English, with fast and accurate keyboard skills
  • Highly organised and structured in their approach to task management
  • Enthusiastic, trustworthy individual with a can-do attitude
  • You will be reliable and willing to go the extra mile
  • Experience of Office 365 and associated packages; comfortable with technology and systems, including online events management software such as Zoom, Teams etc
