The London Fire Brigade (LFB) recently launched a critical project to improve the carbon monoxide (CO) safety of people living on boats in London. ITV News followed the London Fire Brigade as they undertook Home Fire Safety Visit (HFSV) with the Taggs Island houseboat community as part of this project.
Partly funded by the CO Research Trust, 1758 visits tailored to houseboat residents will be carried out.
The research project will create a clearer picture of the demographics of London’s houseboat population and aims to give a much more informed picture of CO levels on houseboats in London.
