For this edition of our Lecture Series, we were delighted to welcome a group of researchers working on air quality and carbon monoxide (CO) across sub-Saharan Africa.  The CO Research Trust has been supporting the development of the CO Research Network, and as part of that initiative, we have been identifying and contacting researchers across the globe.

In particular we have been working with Dr Antony Nyombi, who completed his PhD focusing on carbon monoxide at Cranfield University.  His research was funded by the CO Research Trust, the Katie Haines Memorial Trust, and the Boat Safety Scheme.

Dr Nyombi is coordinating the CO Research in Africa project, which will bring together researchers working across Africa, to work collaboratively on carbon monoxide research.

The initiative aims to enhance the availability of data on critical aspects of carbon monoxide, including its causes, cases, incidents, epidemiology, exposures, detection, and mitigation strategies across the continent.

For this lecture Dr Nyombi was joined by a panel of expert researchers from across the region. The presentations from each of the researchers are available to view on the website and we thank Dr Antony Nyombi, Prof. Dr John Stephen Kayode, Prof. Kuo Pin Yu and PhD candidate Mastewal Endeshaw Getnet for their time in contributing to this lecture.

The full recording of the lecture is available below.
