To kick off the new CORT grant application process for 2023/24, the Trust is running a one day, in person, Sandpit event on Thursday 15th June at Sheffield Hallam University.

This year the Trust will be focusing on grant bids funding research into CO and the indoor environment.

The aim of this event is to bring together potential grant applicants providing a forum for free-thinking and collaborative project development, delving into the problems surrounding research into CO and the indoor environment.

The Trust aim to focus our activity in the next two years on furthering research into some key priority areas, including, understanding the impact of building regulation and energy efficiency on CO safety as well as the role of solid fuels.

We will also consider vulnerable groups and develop solutions to mitigate associated risks as well as projects that improve detection and measure the scale of CO poisoning in the UK.

If you are interested in research into these areas of focus and are considering applying to the CO Research Trust for grant funding, you are strongly advised to attend.

Please note, that numbers for the Sandpit event are limited. We will confirm if you have been allocated a place at the Sandpit event by Monday 15th May

The sandpit is free to attend, but participants must register in advance. The deadline for registration is Monday May 8th, 2023.

We look forward to welcoming you to the event and having the opportunity to meet with you and other experts in this field, face to face.
