New Trustee Adrian Hutt

Leading UK safety charity, the CO Research Trust has appointed the former Carbon Monoxide (CO) lead within the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) Adrian Hutt, to become the latest member of the Board of Trustees.

Adrian served with the West Midlands Fire Service (WMFS) for 27 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in helping to make people safer in their homes. He has previously led joint research projects with WMFS and local authorities, helping raise awareness of CO poisoning risks.

His appointment represents an ongoing commitment of the Trust to work with first responders to tackle the issues of carbon monoxide poisoning.

The Trust has funded several research projects carried out by Fire Services, which hope to raise awareness of the risks of CO and improve the broader understanding of how people are affected by exposure.

Adrian Hutt says: “Having worked on a project that was funded by the Trust, I have seen first-hand how funding research can make significant improvements to CO safety. I look forward to bringing my many years of experience working on the frontline to shape future research projects.”

CO Research Trust CEO, Adrian McConnell says: “We are delighted to have Adrian on our Board of Trustees. His experience and determination to drive forward change and improve safety will be a major asset to the Trust’.
