Registration for the 2024 CO Research Conference has opened today.

Delegates can sign up here: CORT Research Conference 2024 Registration.

The Conference will take place on Tuesday 18th & Wednesday 19th June at Edgbaston Park Hotel & Conference Centre.

This is the third annual Carbon Monoxide Research Conference, and for the first time the event will span 2 days.

This year, our focus for the conference will be on the following: –

Technology: innovations for detection and prevention

We will focus on new developments in the measurement and detection of Carbon Monoxide in the home and other indoor environments.

We will look at how those technologies can be used to protect vulnerable groups and assist first responders.

Data

It is universally agreed that the incidents of carbon monoxide exposure are under-reported – both in the data collected by first responders and by health care professionals.

We will explore what is holding us back from discovering the true scale of CO exposure. How we can improve the quality of the data available to us and how we best share that among the many agencies who require access to it.

Future CO Challenges

Whilst the coming decade will see significant changes in the way that we heat and cook in our homes, the evidence is clear that low-level carbon monoxide exposure will remain a significant issue and public health burden.

We will explore how we make best use of the data and tools available to us to be ready for these changes.

Adrian McConnell, CEO CO Research Trust said:

β€˜The Trust is pleased to announce the return of our Conference in 2024. Delegate feedback in past years has demonstrated the importance the CO community places on being able to come together face to face to engage in learning and debate on the latest developments aimed at preventing exposure to carbon monoxide. β€˜

The Format
Following delegate feedback the conference will be held across 2 days, to allow for additional discussion and networking.

The Conference sessions will open at 10 am on Tuesday 18th June. That evening there will be an informal networking dinner at the same venue.

The conference will reconvene on Wednesday 19th June at 9.30 am.

The Conference is free to attend for all delegates, however, places are limited. Those wishing to attend are advised to sign up ASAP.
